[Artist Statement]
I have been working on the contents that base on the simple joy and pleasant memories of daily life by applying silkscreen technique. The aim was to apply bright colors and expressions and describe how delight, hope, and love always exist in our lives. There are scenes that are common in daily life, but easily overlooked because of our busy everyday lives, such as children jumping into the river on a hot summer day, a wonderful dinner shared with family, people enjoying freshly baked bread and coffee under the warm sunlight, and trees that stand tightly by the road… My mind was filled with these trivial and common images that exist everywhere around me, and I decided to arrange and collect these images to express it as a painting. I hope that this can provide the gift of healing for people’s exhausted hearts and also provide peaceful rest.
